VizoPlay is published by Ellemsoft in Finland. Here is a short summary of how the app handles your data. The full details are below.
The short version
- Your IPTV login stays on your device. Provider credentials are stored locally during normal use. Phone pairing sends a settings snapshot through our server; if a parental PIN is enabled, the TV requires it before applying the snapshot. It is deleted within 1 hour, or up to 2 hours while it is actively edited.
- No account is needed, and no watch data is sent to us. VizoPlay has no user accounts. Watch history can stay on your device, but we do not send channel names, titles, or EPG contents to our servers.
- Analytics are anonymous and content-free. We measure playback, feature usage, ads, VPN, playlist type, settings, and pairing outcomes. We do not send channel names, titles, stream URLs, credentials, or EPG contents.
- The internet check uses our server only. It requests
setup.vizoplay.app/ping; no third-party connectivity endpoint is used. - We do not sell personal information. Free users see a small banner ad; premium removes it.
Questions People Often Ask
- Do you read my passwords? No. They stay on your device during normal use. Phone pairing briefly sends a settings snapshot to our server so your TV can retrieve it. If a parental PIN is enabled, the TV requires it before applying the snapshot. We do not read or use it, and it is deleted within 1 hour, or up to 2 hours while actively edited.
- Do you know what I watch? Watch history can be stored locally so you can resume content. We do not send channel names, titles, or EPG contents to our servers.
- Do you sell my data? No. VizoPlay does not sell personal information.
- Can I delete my local data? Yes. Uninstall the app or clear its data to remove local playlists, history, favorites, and guide data. Third-party services handle data under their own policies.
What Stays on Your Device
The following app data is stored locally on your device:
- Playlist connection details (server URLs, usernames, and passwords)
- Channels, EPG/program guide data, favorites, watch history
- Settings and preferences
- VPN profile content and credentials in the device's secure storage
VizoPlay does not send your channels, EPG data, favorites, or watch history to our servers. Phone pairing is the exception for playlist credentials: it can send a settings snapshot that includes them. To delete local data, uninstall the app or clear its data through your device settings.
Phone Pairing
When you set up your Android TV from your phone by scanning a code, the app sends a snapshot
of your playlists — including credentials — to our server at setup.vizoplay.app (hosted on Cloudflare) over HTTPS. If parental PIN protection is enabled, the TV verifies the
PIN before applying the snapshot. We do not read or use the snapshot. It is stored for 1 hour (up to 2 hours while a session is actively being edited) and then
automatically deleted. This is the only server-side handling of your playlist credentials.
Connectivity Check
The app's diagnostics screen checks whether the internet works by requesting https://setup.vizoplay.app/ping (our server, returning a 204 response). Your IP
address is seen by Cloudflare's edge. No third-party connectivity endpoints are used.
Diagnostics Share
The "Copy diagnostics" action creates a redacted report and places it on your clipboard. The app does not transmit the report. You decide whether and where to share it. Credentials and full stream URLs are removed before the report is copied.
Analytics
VizoPlay uses Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used. Analytics events are anonymous and content-free: they include playback start/stop/errors (with classified, redacted technical details), feature usage, premium prompts and purchases, custom banner events, VPN connect/disconnect, playlist type, theme and language changes, and pairing outcomes. We never send playlist names, channel names, titles, stream URLs, credentials, or EPG contents. Firebase may also process basic device and app information, such as platform, TV or phone form factor, premium status, operating system, and app version.
VizoPlay uses Firebase Remote Config to deliver app configuration, such as ad and banner
settings. When custom banners are enabled, the app may request banner content from api.vizoplay.app. These requests do not include playlist data.
Crash Reporting
VizoPlay uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports. This helps us identify and fix bugs. Crash reports may include device type, operating system version, stack traces, and exception messages. Logged URLs are redacted to strip credentials and sensitive query parameters before reporting. VizoPlay does not intentionally include your viewing history in crash reports.
IPTV Content
VizoPlay is a video player only. It does not provide, host, or distribute any media content. All streams are fetched directly from your IPTV provider's servers. Watch history is stored locally so you can resume content. VizoPlay does not send channel names, titles, stream URLs, or EPG contents to our servers.
VPN
VizoPlay allows you to import and use your own OpenVPN or WireGuard configuration files. VPN connections are established directly between your device and your VPN server. VizoPlay does not operate any VPN servers, does not route your traffic through our infrastructure, and has no access to your VPN traffic or credentials.
Advertising
The free version of VizoPlay displays a small banner ad. There are no pop-up or interstitial ads. Premium users see no ads at all.
Depending on the configuration, free users see either Google AdMob or our own custom banner system. Premium users see no ads. VizoPlay requests non-personalized AdMob ads.
- Google AdMob: May collect device identifiers (Advertising ID), IP address, device information, approximate location (derived from IP), and ad interaction data under Google's policies. We do not receive this data directly. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Custom banners: When enabled, the app requests banner content from
api.vizoplay.app. Firebase Analytics records the banner identifier and, for impressions, the display surface. No playlist data is sent.
In-App Purchases
Premium purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not collect or store any payment information. Purchase status is stored locally on your device.
Ad Consent (EU/EEA/UK)
VizoPlay currently requests non-personalized banner ads only. The app does not currently show a separate in-app consent form for advertising. Third-party ad providers may still process limited device and network data as described above.
Ad Tracking Controls
You can further restrict ad tracking through your device settings:
- iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
- Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization
These settings do not stop Firebase Analytics event collection.
Children's Privacy
VizoPlay is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Ads served by AdMob are subject to Google's policies regarding child-directed content.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- EU/EEA (GDPR): Right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, data portability, object to processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
- California (CCPA): Right to know what data is collected, right to delete, and right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
VizoPlay does not sell your personal information and does not have user accounts. Our services may handle pairing snapshots, connectivity-check IP addresses, and custom-banner requests. Firebase and AdMob handle the data described above under their own policies. To exercise your rights regarding third-party data, visit Google's Ad Settings or contact us at support@vizoplay.app.
Do Not Sell or Share
VizoPlay does not sell your personal information. AdMob receives limited device and network data to serve non-personalized banner ads under Google's policies. We do not share playlist data, channel names, titles, stream URLs, credentials, or EPG contents with advertisers.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
